I agree the opinion that the biomedical engineers should have their goals for how to improving human's quality of life, and the more important part is focus on how to ensure the human's health and the improvement of medicine's quality. Not only should they learn the courses , which belong to their field, but also they need exercise their abilities of researching and developing. Different from others Engineering, these major can improve some people, who loss some functions, to help them live like a complete human. The development of this domain reflects if our countries pay close attention to the disabled or not. Nowadays, disabled accounted for a large proportion of citizen, and how to make them better and more convenient. This issue cannot be overlooked. Researching the biological tissue and organ can help people to comprehend the injury mechanism of human's body. On the other hand, this major is close to the high technology. Like Polymer Chemistry,which plays a important part in medicine. Medical safety is a very serious topic. We knew many sorrow things because the problem of medicine. The biomedical engineering should consider how to Improve the safety of medical products. Biomedical engineers also realized this major's career. They have emerged as their own study, such as the development of biocompatible prostheses, various diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices ranging from clinical equipment to micro-implants, common imaging equipment such as MRIs and EEGs, regenerative tissue growth, pharmaceutical drugs and therapeutic biologicals. All this prominent biomedical engineering applications belong to improve human's health.

The disable, definitely, is a central issue in today's society, and the development of advanced biomedical techniques would help them a lot. Hope the world would become better and better.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your ideas. I think it is necessary for biomedical engineers learn the knowledge from other fields and try to work in different area. It is extremely important of them to focus on the quality of medicine, as it is a very common society problem. And it also need the help of all the medical researchers and governments.
